Paul W. Liptak, 53, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away Monday, June 9, 2008 at Easton Hospital, Wilson Borough, Pa. Born: On June 22, 1954, in Easton, Pa, he was a son of Delores Everett Liptak of Phillipsburg and the late Julius Liptak. Personal: He and his wife, the former Linda L. Stimeare, celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary on April 14, 2008. A resident of Phillipsburg for nearly all his life, Paul had, at one time, been employed as a laborer with Ingersol-Rand Co., Phillipsburg. He served in the Navy in 1972 and attended Phillipsburg High School. Paul was a collector. His favorite hobby was all things collectible such as coins, recordings from the 60's and old movies. He was of the Protestant faith. Survivors: In addition to his wife Linda, and his mother, Delores, he is survived by a son, Paul W. Liptak Jr., at home; a step-son, Charles S. VanSyckle of Easton; a step-daughter, Christy Fazekas of Phillipsburg; a brother, Mark Liptak of Tatamy, Pa; three sisters, Lisa Miller of Bath, Pa, Vicki Liptak and Carol Santos, both of Phillipsburg; several nieces and nephews, and three grandchildren, Alanna Fazekas, Cody and Alexis VanSyckle. Services: Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Rupell Funeral Home LLC, 465 Memorial Parkway, Phillipsburg, NJ. A calling hour will be held Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Phillipsburg. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his family through the funeral home.

Marjorie Ford

Marjorie Ford, 91, "Artist and Calligrapher," formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ passed away at home Saturday, June 7, 2008 in Orlando, Florida where she resided with her sons Tom Ford and Paul Ford. Born: Marjorie was born July 22, 1917 in Phillipsburg, a daughter of the late Edward and Emma Robbins Tieff. Personal: Her husband, Paul J. Ford, Sr., to whom she was married on June 15, 1940, died in 2000. They had been married sixty years. A 1935 graduate of Phillipsburg High School, Mrs. Ford was briefly employed by the Ingersoll-Rand Company and later privately studied landscape art, specializing in oils. Well-known for her handwriting, Mrs. Ford prepared the scoreboards for the annual Tarz Ford Memorial Golf Tournament at Harkers Hollow and inscribed Bibles for new members of Wesley United Methodist Church in Phillipsburg until the early 1990's. She had served on the official board of the church as its treasurer and was an active member of the Sewing Club. Mrs. Ford had sponsored the Paul Ford Memorial Scholarship in honor of her husband each year at the PHS Awards Ceremony. She was also an avid walker in Hillcrest. Survivors: In addition to her sons, Mrs. Ford is survived by her daughters; Shirlee Miller and her husband Russell of Easton, and Colleen Matviak and her husband Gary of Westfield, NJ; two granddaughters, Bridgette Onderko of Hillsborough, NJ, and Megan Mabry of Alexandria, VA; four great-grandchildren, Wyls Barry of Alexandria, Gregory and Caroline Onderko of Hillsborough and Emma Mabry of Alexandria; and a sister-in-law, Anne Ford Kline of Phillipsburg. She was predeceased by two sisters, Tillie Rousset and Helen Jiorle. Services: There will be a memorial gathering in Florida on June 25, 2008. Mrs. Ford was interred at the Ss. Philip and James Cemetery. Russ Miller, Gary Matviak, Dr. Kathie Fallon-Kline and Dr. James Kline served as pall bearers. The Rupell Funeral Home, LLC, of Phillipsburg handled the arrangements. Edith Louessa Richline Hart

Edith Louessa Richline Hart passed away peacefully at her son's home in Palmer Township, Pa with her loving family surrounding her bedside. Born: On March 25, 1916, Edith was the last surviving member of the late George and Mabel Lozier-Richline family. Personal: Edith and her loving husband, Raymond K. Hart Sr. were married for 53 years until he passed away on January 11, 1986. She was a long time resident of Stewartsville and Parkside, NJ, but had most recently resided in Palmer Township with her son, Raymond II and daughter-in-law, Elaine. She enjoyed time spent with her family and going on several cruises. She was an avid reader and spent time crocheting many afghans for her loved ones. Memberships: Edith was a life long member of First Lutheran Church, Stewartsville, NJ. Survivors: In addition to her son, Raymond K. Hart II and his wife, Elaine; grandchildren, Valerie Hart, Susan Edwards and her husband, George, James Jr., Jeffrey and his wife, Cheryl, Linda Leh and her husband, Terry, Harry and his companion, Julia, Eric and his wife, Natasha, and Brett and his wife Cathy; great-grandchildren, Kristin, Bryan and fiancée Stefanie, Jennifer, Julie, Andrew, Shawn and his wife, Katie, Tara and her husband, David, Zackary, Cavin, Colton, and Samantha; great-great-grandchildren, Malaia, Kaili, Trenton, Brooklyn, Shane, Julia, and many nieces and nephews. A son, James Sr., passed away January 31, 2007. Edith's sisters, Viola Trimper, Louella Gardner, Edna Mowders, Marian Van Scoten, Alma and Hazel Richline, and her brothers, George, Walter, Kenneth, Edward, and David Richline, died earlier. Services: Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the church, N. Main St., Stewartsville. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and also on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Betty Jane Hagerty Csordas Willis, 80, of Rome, Ga, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at her home. Born: On April 3, 1928 in Easton, Pa, Betty was a daughter of the late Ernest and Beatrice Stone Hagerty. Personal: Betty's first husband of 31 years, Albert Csordas, passed away in 1975 and her second husband of 24 years, Roy Willis, passed away in 2001. She had lived in Rome for the last two years and prior to that, lived in Walnutport, Pa and the Stewartsville, NJ area. She worked in War Production Industries during World War II and Vietnam, in the hospitality industry, and most recently, at Mary Ann's Donuts at the Allentown, Pa Farmer's Market, The Allentown Fair, and Sweet Sensations Bakery in Rome. Memberships: While living in the Phillipsburg area, Betty attended the Stewartsville Presbyterian Church. She also attended the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Rome. Survivors: Betty is survived by a son, Andrew E. Csordas and his wife, Laurina of Rome; daughters, Barbara Strobl and her husband, Herb of Allentown, Laura Csordas Opdyke and her husband, Ed of Oxford, NJ; a step-daughter, Carol Firth of Whitehall, Pa; a brother, Jack Hagerty of Stewartsville; sisters, Barbara Allen of Upper Black Eddy, Pa, and June Gallo of Phillipsburg; eight grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. Services: Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Rupell Funeral Home LLC, 465 Memorial Parkway, Phillipsburg, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Stewartsville Lutheran Cemetery. Carleton "Carl" Fauerbach, 55, of Wilson Borough, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2008 at his home. Born: He was born June 11, 1953 in Easton, a son of Margaret Hatch Fauerbach of Nazareth and the late Henry Fauerbach. Personal: Carl and his wife, the former Cathy A. Conine celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary on September 8, 2007. He lived in Wilson Borough for the past 28 years, having previously lived in Phillipsburg. Carl was a supervisor for the Corrugated Paper Group in Milford, NJ, for 25 years. He last worked in 2003. He coached Little League baseball in Wilson Borough. He also coached basketball and soccer in the Community League in Wilson. One of his greatest pleasures was to be with children. He graduated from Phillipsburg Catholic High School in 1971. Memberships: He was a member of St. Jane Frances De Chantal Catholic Church, Palmer Township and attended Wesley United Methodist Church, Phillipsburg. Survivors: In addition to his wife and mother; a son, Brian M. Fauerbach at home; two brothers, Henry J. Fauerbach and his wife Nancy of Nazareth, and Ronald C. Fauerbach and his wife Elaine of Phillipsburg; and four nephews. His twin sons, Brad and Jeffrey Fauerbach, passed away in 1987. Services: Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Rupell Funeral Home, LLC, 465 Memorial Parkway, Phillipsburg. Gladys W. May, 88, of Phillipsburg, NJ passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2008 at the Care Center of Lopatcong, Lopatcong Township, NJ. Born: On August 26, 1919 in Lehighton, Pa, Gladys was a daughter of the late William H. and Stella Rabenold Evert. Personal: Gladys and her husband, George A. May, celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on August 12, 2007. She graduated from Lehighton High School Class of 1937. She was a homemaker and also an avid Bingo player. Memberships: Gladys was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Phillipsburg. Survivors: In addition to her husband, George, Gladys is survived by a daughter, Marilyn A. Bieler of Pen Argyl, Pa; a brother, Donald Evert of Phillipsburg, and two sisters, Blanche Dotter of Lake Wallingpaulpack, Pa, and Dorothy Magini of Florida. Three brothers and three sisters died earlier. Services: Funeral services will be private. There will be no calling hours. The Rupell Funeral Home LLC, Phillipsburg, is in charge of arrangements. Burial of her cremains will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Greenwich Township, NJ.
