Biography

Jerra Lynn Maze, 66, of Lopatcong Township, passed away, Friday, January 29, 2010 in Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg. Born: August 2, 1943 in Galveston, Texas, she was a daughter of the late Maynard S.Ferguson and Corrine Imm Ferguson of Weirton, WV. Personal: She and her husband, Kenneth L. Maze, celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary on June 21, 2009. She lived in Lopatcong Township for the past ten years, moving here from Basking Ridge. She graduated from Weir High School in Weirton, West Virginia, class of 1961 and attended Marshall University, Huntington, VA. Jerra was a commercial banker. At one time she worked at the First Fidelity Bank in Newark, NJ. Later she was manager of the AT& T Credit Union in Basking Ridge, NJ. Memberships: She was a member of Pilgrim Presbyterian, Phillipsburg, where she served on the Evangelism Committee and the Intern Pastor Coordinating Committee. Survivors: In addition to her husband; two sons, Kenneth L. Maze, II and his wife Patricia of Hopatcong, Samuel F. Maze and his wife Barbara of Mansfield Township, NJ; a brother Maynard S. Ferguson, II and his wife Victoria of Weirton, WV; a sister Karan R. Truluck of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren, Emma Joan Maze, Nicole Elizabeth Howell, Kenneth L. Maze, III, Amanda Lynn Nagy and Christopher Samuel Maze; and one great-granddaughter Liliana Maze. Services: Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at the Rupell Funeral Home, LLC, 465 Memorial Parkway, Phillipsburg. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
