BiographyFrances L. Lear, 86, formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ, entered a world of comfort and peace on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Warren Haven Nursing Home in Oxford, NJ. Born: on June 12, 1923 in Forks Township, PA she was a daughter of the late Jacob Todd and the late Irene Dalrymple Todd. Personal: Her husband of 52 years, Charles W. Lear, passed away December 12, 1998. She had lived in Phillipsburg nearly all her life. At one time Frances worked at the Transogram Co. in Easton, later at Sobel's in West Easton and lastly at the former Weller Electric Co. in Palmer Township. Her favorite pastime was shopping, going to Atlantic City, Bingo and playing cards with her friends. Frances loved to laugh and share her time with friends. She knew how to make the best of whatever came her way and changed the lives of everyone who knew her. Memberships: She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church and a member of the Senior and Social Clubs when she lived at the Heckman House in Phillipsburg, also a member of the Happy Travelers Club. Survivors: sister, Flora Mitchell of Easton, PA; nephews, Robert Kipp of Alpha, NJ, Charles Mitchell, Terry Mitchell, niece, Mary Keller all of Easton and Barry Todd of Saylorsburg, PA. A son David W. Lear passed away December 28, 2002, also two brothers Benjamin Todd and Willard Todd and a sister Mary Hallett died earlier. Services: Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Rupell Funeral Home LLC, 465 Memorial Parkway, Phillipsburg, NJ. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday fro 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial in the Fairmount Cemetery, Phillipsburg.
