Biography

Robert J. Petroll, 56, of Phillipsburg, NJ passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Lehigh Valley Hospice in Allentown, PA. Born: January 17, 1954 in Phillipsburg, he was the son of the late Patrick Petroll and Betty Armbruster Petroll of Phillipsburg. Personal: He has lived in Phillipsburg nearly all his life. Robert was a machinist for the Ingersoll-Rand Co. in Phillipsburg for 32 years. He last worked in 2003. Robert graduated from Phillipsburg High School, Class of 1972. He enjoyed hunting and target shooting. He was an avid knife collector and collector of American Indian Relics. He was a champion go-cart racer. He loved the entire outdoors. Survivors: Daughter, Stacey L. Laub and her husband, Jason of Easton, PA; brother, Patrick Petroll II of Lemesa, CA; sister, Cathy A. Baker and her husband, William Jr. of Phillipsburg; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Weinert and her husband, Robert, Kyle Petroll and Cory Petroll; great-nephews, Ryan and Tyler Weinert. Services: Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 5 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rupell Funeral Home LLC, 465 Memorial Parkway, Phillipsburg. A calling hour will be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Township, Pa.
