Frank L. Tettemer, 91, of Country Meadows, Bethlehem and formerly of Holland Township and Phillipsburg, passed away Friday, March 12, 2010 at Country Meadows. Born: November 26, 1918 in Easton, he was a son of the late Frank and Julia Schaffer Tettemer. Personal: Frank at one time lived in Phillipsburg, he moved to Holland Township in 1954 and lived there until 2005. He and his wife, the former Lorna V. Dietzel, celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary on September 10, 2009. Frank was a truck driver. He drove for the Arrow Carrier Company, Phillipsburg and the Keystone Box Co., Holland Township. He served in the Merchant Marine during World War II, in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters. Frank enjoyed spending his winters in Florida; he loved the ocean and going boating, fishing and clamming. His greatest pleasure was his family and spending precious time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memberships: He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Pohatcong Township; the American Legion in Philadelphia, Huntington Volunteer Fire Company; Liberty Hose Company, Easton; and Phillipsburg Chapter 4704 of AARP. He was a former member of the Easton Elks. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Lorna; two sons, William T. Tettemer and his wife Carolee of Holland Township, and Frank H. Tettemer and his wife Marge of Nazareth; a step-brother Jack Tettemer of Jenkintown, PA; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his step-father, Carl Kessler. Services: Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 in the Rupell Funeral Home, LLC, 465 Memorial Parkway, Phillipsburg. A calling hour will be held Wednesday one prior to the service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Township. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
