Biography

Madeline "Jane" Raub, 89, of Palmer Township went to be with her Lord, in her home, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, July 22, 2010. Born: In Palmer Township on October 21, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Lewis E. Woolf and Anna Stacey Christian Woolf. Personal: Her husband, Carl T. Raub, Sr., passed away October, 1992. She was a homemaker while working with her husband for many years on the Chesterfield Farms as well as owner, with her husband, of Chesterfield Manor in Palmer Township. She was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School, class of 1938. Memberships: She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Greenwich Township, NJ, a member of William Parsons Chapter #185, O.E.S., past recording secretary of the Palmer Township Historical Society, member of the Young Republican Club of Easton, PA, and at one time she was the Vice President of the St. James Cemetery Board. Survivors: two sons, Anderson C. Raub and his wife Viola of Palmer Township, Carl T. Raub II and his wife Vicki of Salisbury Township, PA; one daughter, Carol J. Fehnel and her husband Clarence of Palmer Township, PA; sister, Faith Miers of Harmony Township, NJ; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by grandson Randy Raub, brother Alvin Lore and Three sisters Dorothy Christianson, Mae Wrenn and Ethel George. Services: Services will be Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 11 a.m. in St. James Lutheran Church in Greenwich Township, NJ. Viewing will be Friday, July 30, 2010 7 to 9 p.m. in the Rupell Funeral Home, LLC, 465 Memorial Parkway, Phillipsburg, NJ and from 10 a.m. until service time in the church Saturday. Eastern Star Services will be at 7:30 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home. Burial in the St. James Cemetery, Greenwich Township, NJ. Memorials: May be made to St. James Lutheran Church, 1213 U.S. Highway 22, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865, in her name. The Raub family would like to thank St. Luke's VNA Hospice and Griswold Special Care for the special, loving care they gave to this family.
