BiographyJanet E. Hammerstone, 68, of Phillipsburg, NJ passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2010 in her home. Born: May 4, 1942 in Lopatcong Township, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Edward S. Burham and Hazel Hineline Burham. Personal: She was married to Eugene W. Hammerstone, they celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary August of 2009. For a number of years she was a Nurse's Aide at Warren Hospital, retiring in 1996. She was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School, class of 1960. She was an animal lover as well as a loving wife, mother and nanny. Memberships: A member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Phillipsburg, NJ, at one time a Sunday school teacher in the church. Survivors: husband, Eugene W. Hammerstone; four sons, Herbert Kinney and wife Susan of Phillipsburg, Frederick Kinney of Phillipsburg, James Hammerstone and wife Tammie of Mount Bethel, PA, and Scott Hammerstone of Phillipsburg; two daughters, Barbara Kichline and her husband Fred of Phillipsburg, Danielle Rush and her husband Samuel of Belvidere, NJ; sisters, Gertrude Farley of Broadway, NJ and Jane Woolf of Broadway, NJ; fifteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother Herbert Burham. Services: In the Rupell Funeral Home, 465 Memorial Parkway, Phillipsburg, NJ at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 30, 2010. Viewing in the funeral home on Thursday evening 7 to 9 p.m. Burial in the Stewartsville Lutheran Cemetery, Stewartsville, NJ.
